Midwestern Floods
Submitted by Editor MOTO on Thu, 06/26/2008 - 18:27.No Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help.
No looters. No rapes. No murders.
No one in the media is asking tough questions about why the Federal Government hasn't solved the problem.
No one is being relocated by the Government to free hotels.
Spike Lee won't say the Federal Government blew up the levees that failed in Des Moines or Hannibal, MO.
No Sean Penn. No Dixie Chicks.
No one is declaring that George Bush hates white, rural people.
There's none of it.
There's just a lot of people helping each other until the waters subside.
In case you had forgotten Mark Powell
Submitted by Editor MOTO on Wed, 06/25/2008 - 19:59.Blast e-mail from Mark Powell today. He, of course, was not asking for money.
He, of course, will also not be the nominee on the Democratic side of the isle.
Here are a list of his true friends, I mean, endosements:

Dedicated to Tony's Kansas City
Submitted by Editor MOTO on Thu, 06/19/2008 - 13:52.I'd like to dedicate this post to our friend over at Tony's Kansas City blog.
It is not a political post in any way.
I just think it will mess with his head for a few minutes.

Torture Confirmed!
Submitted by mo democrat on Wed, 06/18/2008 - 13:00.New Report reveals abuse/torture of detainees. "The report is prefaced by retired U.S. Major Gen. Antonio Taguba, who led the Army's investigation into the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal in 2003. There is no longer any doubt that the current administration committed war crimes," Taguba says. "The only question is whether those who ordered torture will be held to account." (http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/06/18/gitmo.detainees/index.html)
"We are finding terrorists and bringing them to justice. Anything we do to that end in this effort, any activity we conduct, is within the law. We do not torture." (President George W. Bush) Bush's comments come days after it was disclosed that the CIA is running a network of prisons in Eastern Europe and Asia, where it holds suspects.
Prisoners are being held without charges or legal counsel, abused and intimidated for years and then released. Is this the example of American morals, democracy and constitutional rights we want the world to see?

Peter Kinder plays 'pitcher' - not 'catcher'
Submitted by Editor MOTO on Thu, 06/12/2008 - 14:12.As Peter Kinder's Chief of Staff would say, "If there's grass on the field - play ball!"
But Kinder comes up short:
I'll take you back seven or eight years ago when Lt. Gov. Kinder threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a St. Louis Cardinals game.
Now, he didn't just stroll out there having not picked up a ball in years and just chuck the ball up there. He practiced…a lot. So much in fact, his sore arm prevented him from making it the mandatory 60 feet, six inches to the glove of third base coach Jose Oquendo. Instead, the ball one hopped well short of his target.
This is the only published article citing Kinder as being six inches short...thus far.

Hillary's "Ask"
Submitted by Editor MOTO on Wed, 06/04/2008 - 05:51.Hillary refused to concede last night, and after a drawn out speech - she dropped her website: www.HillaryClinton.com.
In case you didn't understand: That was a fundraiser. She was hoping that all those people who give online will flood the inbox with contributions and notes like, "never give up Hil".
I can't decide if that little maneuver was brilliant or tasteless.
