Walter D. Kennedy, GOP Candidate for President, is not getting the fanfair he deserves.  Only 3 short weeks ago he made a campaign stop here in Missouri, and the KC Star and the St. Louis didn't print even one word.

Here at MoPo, we're better than that, and if Mike Gravel can be on the MSNBC debate, then you better be darn tootin that GOP Presidential Candidate Walter Donnie Kennedy will get a few inches here.

MYTHS OF AMERICAN SLAVERY - Armed with an open mind and a wealth of historical sources, Kennedy tackles the most common misconceptions and misrepresentations about slavery in America. Indeed, one of the first issues Kennedy addresses is the extent to which slavery flourished and persisted throughout North America, not just in the Southern states. He also reveals how New Englanders, despite their contemporary reputation as uniform abolitionists, really treated slaves, before and after emancipation. Other topics include indentured servitude; Biblical, Christian, and moral arguments regarding slavery; and how slavery related to modern race discriminating.

Compelling, no?  Many MoPo readers just found their candidate.

I know many of you are going to ask, "Well just what was President Kennedy (President to-be of course) doing in the Show-Me State?

According to the Missouri Confederate Goverment website:

On April 15th, 2007 the John T. Coffee Camp, Sons of Confederate Veterans held its 6th annual Confederate Heritage Tour and Dinner. The Heritage Tour featured the 1'st Missouri Confederate Brigade Monument and the site in which John Younger was shot by Pinkerton agents in the early 1870's, Speaking at the Heritage Dinner was best-selling author and Presidential Candidate Walter Donnie Kennedy.

So there you have it.

If you've got the time, do some more reading over at the Missouri Confederate Goverment site . . . you'll find gems like this:

I was talking to one of my sources today, who told me that they had just gotten off of the phone with a Missouri legislator.

My source asked the legislator if HCR-26 (Rep. El-Amin's slavery apology bill) was going to be passed this session.

The representative laughed.

All indications are that there are too many bills that the House of Representatives considers important, and that HCR-26, is way down on that list .

We are almost to the end of this year's session of the House of Representatives. Victory is in site. Missouri stands her ground.

No word yet if Chief Wana Dubie will endorse.
