Loudon the Liar

Senator John Loudon has put his personal preoccupations before the integrity of Missouri's legislative system.

HB 818 went through at least 22 reincarnations before it was passed out of the Missouri Senate.  But between the 21st and 22nd drafts, Senator John Loudon pulled a fast one and instered 2 sentences into page 83 of a 120 page document, got his vote in the Senate, moved the bill to the House, and 30 minutes after the Bill landed on members desks, a vote was taken.

Here's what sneaky John slipped through:

376.1753. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, any person who holds current ministerial or tocological certification by an organization accredited by the National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA) may provide services as defined in 42 U.S.C. 1396 r-6(b)(4)(E)(ii)(I).

tocological? WTF?

tocologicy n.   The science of childbirth; midwifery or obstetrics.

that's one part of the fuss.

The bigger issus is the John lied to the Senate, lied to the House...well, technically he just didn't tell the House handler...yeah, lied to the house, and then went out drinking and felt the boobies of midwives.  (I made the last part up - but mid-wive boobies are easy to feel, cause the don't wear bras.)

liarn.   A person who tells lies.

I think we can expect to see Louden removed from his Committee Chairmanship, and believe the Senate will take monstrative action.

I can't find the old newspaper articles now...but the midwives have pulled this kind of sneaky stuff before, once at midnight, and once with a quick sneaky move in the Senate.

I would bet that tomorrow's papers will have all the details.

I'm confused

Are you attacking Midwifery? And Tocologicy makes me thing of supercalifragilisticexplialidocious... even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious.
