HotAir Attacks Sen. Bond
As far as I'm concerned there is little as entertaining as watching the Republican party tear themselves apart over the immigration bill. The latest salvo comes from HotAir and is directed at Senator Bond, among others.
The most interesting thing here is watching the folks like the anti-immigration bill (read anti-Mexican) folks at HotAir rip into the pro-immigration bill (read bought and paid for by big business) Senators. Close second: how the makers of the ad are trying to brand it as a Kennedy bill. Let's be clear here folks, this is a Republican initiative, just as the last amnesty was. But the party faithful are having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that their two golden boys (Reagan and Bush) are the ones that sold them down the river. I've long ago given up on trying to figure out why the Republican foot soldiers will be fooled by the leaderships empty rhetoric (see entries under: Troops, Support our, and Abortion, ending), but maybe this will be the bill that finally shows them the emperor has no clothes. I'm not getting my hopes up though...
