Harris Adds to St. Louis-Area Support

Endorsements in 15th and 25th Wards Add to Growing Momentum for the “Democrat Who Can Win”
Columbia, MO – In the heated race for Attorney General, Representative Jeff Harris snagged the endorsements of the 15th and 25th Wards. The endorsements add to Harris’ support in the city where he has also won the endorsements of Treasurer Larry Williams, Sheriff Jim Murphy, and Senate Democratic Leader Maida Coleman.
Harris, a proven progressive, was a no brainer for the 15th Ward, one of the more diverse areas of the city, which pounced on Harris’ candidacy for Attorney General. “Jeff Harris has a track record as the Democratic Leader in the House, and he is the best Democratic candidate who will fight for Missouri families,” said Alderwoman Jennifer Florida.
Harris also won the 25th Ward, one of the city’s most Democratic strongholds. “We stood firm and chose the Democrat who can win,” said Dorothy Kirner, a renowned tow-the-line Dutch Town Democrat.
“I’m excited to have these two important city wards standing with our campaign,” said Harris, a Democrat from Columbia. “Their endorsements demonstrate that our campaign to fight for regular folks is reaching voters all across Missouri as we build the network of supporters that will carry us to victory in August and beyond. Democrats know that it’s the power of a candidate’s convictions that count, and I’m proud that my record of hard work and my determination for what’s right are cutting through.”
