Richard Monroe wins the Democratic Primary with 77% of vote

Richard Monroe wints the Democratic primary for U.S. Representative for the 7th congressional district in Missouri. Monroe recieved over 77% of the vote throughout the county. These are Roy Blunt like numbers in this district. Monroe will be campaigning against incumbent Roy Blunt the GOP Whip. Conservative journalist Robert Novak wrote that Republicans donors are demanding new leadership in the congress, which puts Blunt in a tentative position. Along with Blunts donors feeling dissatisified, 23% of the republican voters in his district feel that he should not be reelected.
The Monroe campaign is encouraged by the grassroots organizing results. We hear it everyday, that the folks in Southwest Missouri are unhappy and want a change in congress. They say it in many ways but the majority want a change. This is a clear voice of the democratic party that Monroe is their candidate to defeat Blunt in November.
